Description: Construction of a new shared used footpath/cyclepath as part of Medway Council’s  Cycling Action Plan. Areas of completely new path along with widening sections of the existing route to achieve a width of 2.5m. Associated works included pedestrian crossing point, street furniture and carriageway island modifications. Works were carried out over an 8 week programme.

Description: Removal of failed slab paving, that was now presenting a trip hazard to residents, footpath construction with 6mm tarmac wearing course and full refurbishment of access steps with the installation of DDA compliant stair nosings. Works were completed in two days.


Tower Hamlets, Dover.

Description: Resurfacing of the access road to Veolia’s Tower Hamlets Depot in Dover. Works involved planing 50mm of the existing surfacing, followed by sweeping and relaying with a paver, all activities were programmed and carried out on a Saturday morning in order to minimise disruption to the operational depot.


Strood Subway, Strood.

Description: Following the infill of the now redundant Strood Subway, Martin Civil Engineering were contracted to reinstate the areas that were previously access ramps and stairs. 355m2 of footpath was reinstated with reinforced type 1, and then slabbed with a combination of reclaimed and new concrete paving slabs.
